This year, the Castro Street Fair is welcoming San Francisco Black Pride to the Castro Stage at Castro and Market Streets for a special block of entertainment programming celebrating Black LGBTQ+ artists, performers and community.
San Francisco Black Pride grew from a grassroots idea sparked by local artist and organizer LBXX (Gyasi Curry), whose question about why San Francisco did not have a Black Pride celebration of its own helped inspire the launch of the city’s first San Francisco Black Pride Week in 2025.
For the Castro Street Fair, San Francisco Black Pride is curating programming on the Castro Stage, with artists currently slated to appear including Ms. Love O, The Junior, and LBXX. Programming is still evolving, and the lineup is subject to change.
Entertainment will extend throughout the Fair, including the Collingwood Stage at 18th Street, the Queer AF Stage programmed by Devlin Shand, and a mix of new and returning artists across the day. Together, the stages will showcase the range of music, performance, and queer creativity that has long been central to the Castro Street Fair experience.
The expanded programming also reflects this year’s theme, “Where We Belong,” celebrating the many communities and creative voices that continue to shape the Castro and San Francisco’s LGBTQ+ culture.
