The 2026 San Francisco Dyke March—led by Project Director M Rocket, Advisory Committee Co-Chair Cyndi Vee, and other committee members—filled the streets of the Mission and Castro districts on Pride Saturday, June 27, reaffirming its foundational roots as an independent, grassroots political protest. The afternoon began with participants gathering at the intersection of 18th and Dolores streets for a high-energy community rally, featuring local activists and artists speaking on intersectional queer liberation and the preservation of historic lesbian spaces. At 5 pm, a sea of marchers took over the streets without corporate sponsorships or city parade permits, chanting and carrying banners that called for global human rights and local solidarity. This year’s demonstration stood out for its explicit, coordinated partnerships with the Trans Ally Rally and the People’s March, creating a unified front that highlighted the vital intersection of dyke and trans visibility. https://www.thedykemarch.org/
