Maitri’s signature variety show fundraiser Heels for Hope took place on June 6, 2026, at the Marine’s Memorial Theater in San Francisco. This year’s headliner was Ginger Minj, the iconic winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race All-Stars Season 10. The event raised $100,000 that will go directly into Maitri’s programs, including BRANCH Aftercare, the Maitri Affirmation Center (MAC), and HIV/AIDS Residential Care.
Maitri CEO Michael Armentrout shared a powerful reflection on the devastating early days of the AIDS epidemic in the ‘80s and ‘90s, highlighting how those exact challenges shaped Maitri’s enduring mission to provide unconditional, compassionate care.
