Coming soon! Castro Street Cam #5 will present a direct view of the historic Castro Theatre. Cam #5 will be operated online for special occasions at The Castro during its reopening event series.
Castro Street Cam is produced by the San Francisco Bay Times as an educational service in celebration of the Rainbow Flag at Harvey Milk Plaza and other points of interest such as the Rainbow Crosswalks.
A goal of the Castro Street Cam is to help those who are isolated for any reason to be able to see the vibrant Castro neighborhood and enjoy the views. Visit the cams 24/7 to see what’s going on or how’s the weather and the traffic. Check out the views up and down Castro Street, in Harvey Milk Plaza and Jane Warner Plaza. It’s all there for you.
Castro Street Cam is not a security camera nor affiliated with a security system. Its four cameras do not zoom or turn and they are carefully positioned.
Occasionally the cameras may go offline. If you have questions, please contact Publisher@sfbaytimes.com
Thanks to our viewers who have reached out from other states, nations and Bay Area locations to let us know that viewing the Castro Street Cam is important to them. Occasionally a camera may go offline and we apologize for the inconvenience. The cameras are rebooted once daily.
