The Castro Street Fair has announced a new partnership with Another Planet Entertainment and The Castro Theatre, extending this year’s celebration into the evening with the Official Castro Street Fair After Party, presented by beloved San Francisco queer dance party Polyglamorous.
Following the 52nd Annual Castro Street Fair on Sunday, October 4, Polyglamorous will take over the iconic Castro Theatre with internationally acclaimed DJ Octo Octa, joined by Polyglamorous residents BEYA and Mark O’Brien. Doors will open at 5:30 pm, with the show beginning at 6 pm. The event will be for all ages.
The collaboration will bring together organizations deeply connected to San Francisco’s LGBTQIA+ cultural life: the Castro Street Fair, founded by Harvey Milk in 1974; the historic Castro Theatre; Another Planet Entertainment; and Polyglamorous, which has been bringing queer dancers together across San Francisco since 2015.
“‘Where We Belong’ is the theme of this year’s Castro Street Fair, and we see Polyglamorous as a wonderful extension of that celebration into the evening,” said Arturo Nájera, Jr., Entertainment Chair, Castro Street Fair. “We hope this partnership helps create an even bigger opportunity for our community to come together while also supporting the local businesses and venues that make the Castro such a special place. Another Planet Entertainment’s partnership with the Fair comes as The Castro Theatre enters a new chapter following an extensive rehabilitation designed to preserve the historic landmark while expanding the range of live performances and cultural programming it can host.

Founded at Oasis when the venue opened in 2015, Polyglamorous has built a devoted following through residencies and events in and around San Francisco’s SoMa neighborhood, including annual staples Pink Block and Sneaks. The collective showcases a diverse range of underground talent and aims to create a welcoming space for people from across the community to cut loose, dance, and celebrate themselves.
October 4 marks the first event Polyglamorous has produced in the Castro neighborhood.

“Octo Octa is a world-renowned DJ, and we are lucky to have already presented some amazing events with her,” said Ben Bellayuto (BEYA). “She has a way of radiating joy and energy to the dance floor.”
Octo Octa, the performing name of Maya Bouldry-Morrison, spent years as an IDM artist and sound designer before her 2011 debut EP, Let Me See You, introduced her to a wider international house-music audience. Since then, her blend of detailed sound design, composition, and dance-floor rhythms has taken her around the world. In 2019, she co-founded the label T4T LUV NRG with her partner Eris Drew, continuing to explore themes of togetherness, embodiment, love, healing, and survival through her music.
