Queer Joy Unleashed: Sistory From the Archives at the SF LGBT Center

A pop-up exhibition and party, Queer Joy Unleashed: Sistory From the Archives, was held on April 3, 2026, at the SF LGBT Center followed by an After Party at the Lookout. Helping to kick off the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence Easter birthday weekend, the event included:

• an “Invocation of The Nuns of the Above & Queer Ancestors”;

• “Sisters turn water into wine”;

• Sister Hellen Wheel’s Nuns in the Wild;

• “Surprise Exorcisms”;

• music from DJ Pusspuss;

• Sister Boom Boom “Button Therapy”;

• refreshments;

• and a surprise roasting of longtime beloved Sister and San Francisco Bay Times columnist Sister Dan Van Iquity!
