Sister Dana sez, “Happy Halloween to Everybody! Or maybe I should say: ‘Happy Hallowed QUEEN’–since it’s our Royal Queer High Holiday!”
A Halloween trick on the American public seemed to be young, blonde, tanned and now FORMER White House press secretary, Katie Zacharia, who was personally hired by Trump with no formal vetting from senior staff and turned out to be the very definition of incompetence. She blended in with the rest of the incompetent administration. I heard this on the news, which is superb: This entire Trump Part 2 is a War on Expertise. Sister Dana sez, “Let’s stop all wars and bring back democracy. We shall take over the House, the Senate, and nationwide Governors after the midterm vote. Remember what President Obama has said: ‘Yes we can,’ and he ain’t lyin’; and yes, we SHALL!!!”
I wish I could have participated along with thousands in the October 3 inaugural “Power to the People” festival and demonstration in Columbia, Maryland, which was produced by Grammy-winner Tom Morello. He had posters with him stating that “this festival is about freedom, justice, equality, and rock and roll. It’s about the power everyday human beings have when they come together through music, art, community, and action.” Morello added, “A day that celebrates the spirit of activism, creativity, and hope.” Singers in the lineup included Bruce Springsteen, Foo Fighters, Public Enemy, Cypress Hill, Dave Matthews, and the invincible Joan Baez, who was recently sainted by us Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence!

Sister Dana sez, “I am so sorry to be late in rolling out the Pink Carpet for National Breast Cancer Month, which began in October.”
Please forgive my tardiness, but allow me to warn readers that early detection is the key in the fight against breast cancer. It has been estimated that 43,000 women and men will die from breast cancer this year. And yes, I did say that among MEN, 2,600 patients will be diagnosed with breast cancer.
Horizons Foundation celebrated our community, achievements, and an incredible legacy of leadership in the Bay Area and the national LGBTQ movement at their “A Night of Pride” on October 3, 2026, at The Westin St. Francis Grand Ballroom in San Francisco. This year’s event marked a historic milestone as we honored President Roger Doughty’s two decades of visionary leadership before he retires in November.
Right in the middle of FLEET WEEK (held in San Francisco from October 4 to October 12, with primary public events honoring our Marines and Navy personnel, including air shows running along the northern waterfront from October 9 to October 11) Department of War secretary Pete “HegsMess” had the gall to downplay the heroes of the USS Lincoln battleship, stating, “There are a few folks in the media who tried to turn the USS Lincoln into some sort of a symbol of dysfunction or low morale or a failed mission. I know it’s just the opposite.” Do you, Petey? Really? Because in fact it IS sadly all three: dysfunction in a rusty old ship; low morale in extremely poor living conditions—not to mention EIGHT suicide attempts; and a failed mission in doing nothing to stop the war or enforce international safety!”
At his New York rally on October 9, T-rump gave an unhinged rant still about jailing AG Letitia Jones for “trumped-up” mortgage fraud charges (of which half of his MadMinistration is quite guilty). Adding more rage, Donald was angry that he did not receive the Nobel Peace Prize—because “fearless leader” kept us “out of eight wars,” as he declared. Sister Dana sez, “Sure, Donnie, if we don’t count your Iran War or our Ukraine or your War Against Canada and other once-friendly countries, you are the most peace-loving Nobel winning president ever—according to YOU!”
It should be mentioned that, in the real world, The 2026 Nobel Peace Prize was awarded to South African human rights lawyer and international jurist Navanethem “Navi” Pillay on October 9 by the Norwegian Nobel Committee. At her awards ceremony she joked, “If you clap even louder, I might share this with Trump!” Right on, Navi!

Sister Dana sez, “I am thrilled to pieces (peaces?) that Trump’s approval rating has fallen to 68% disapproving and to 30% approving. I just wanna know—WTF is wrong with you stupid thirty percent peeps anyway?!”
It should be noted that in the October 14 Gallup Poll, 89% of American adults say corruption is widespread in the U.S. government.
At another ridiculous rally at Clarksville, TN, on October 10, Trump floated the idea of renaming The Pacific and Atlantic as “Trump Ocean” and “Ocean of The Americas.” Sister Dana sez, “Right. While we’re renaming, let’s change him to ‘Worst and Most Insane President in the History of America’!” Meanwhile at that rally to his faithful supporters, Trump actually said, “I could say the stupidest things, and you’d clap.” Sister Dana sez, “So you admit you truly do say and do the stupidest things!”
What a disgrace that federal agents searched the D.C. home of
Representative Ilhan Omar (D-Minnesota) and took many boxes of hers on October 12 under false accusation of fraud. Omar stated, “For ten years, Trump has targeted me with baseless lies and smear campaigns. This is just the latest escalation in his campaign of political intimidation. She added, “I will not be silenced!” Sister Dana sez, “Dear Representative Omar, as we used to chant at AIDS rallies: ‘Act Up! Fight Back!’”
But before this disgrace, Trump had renewed his bogus effort to fire Federal Reserve Governor Lisa Cook as part of his disgusting retribution tour.
In the past year, millions of Americans have taken to the streets for NO KINGS events—to show that kings don’t rule our country; We the People do! The first “No Kings” has been so successful that on October 17 they did another entitled “No Kings: Vote Early” across the nation, registering folx to vote and demonstrate our voting power.
Trump is furious that the press isn’t covering him. How could they, being officially banned by the real news but welcomed by the fake news?!
We welcome Michelle Meow as the new Board President of SF PRIDE! Michelle is no stranger to this work or to this community. Just this June, she brought the 4th Annual Human Rights Summit to the Commonwealth Club, with Dolores Huerta as keynote speaker. Michelle is joined by a dedicated slate of officers and directors who bring deep roots, fresh ideas, and a shared commitment to keeping Pride free, fierce, and for everyone. Other officers are Vice President Maceo Persson, Secretary Ronnie Jones, and Treasurer Orion Lam.
Trump & Company continue to defy Court Orders. Since February 2025, he has had 31 violations and 250 instances of noncompliance. His latest defiance is the second order to only cut down ten trees. The first order was for NO trees to be cut. So far, 400 trees have been removed. These latest tree removals are all in grifter Trump’s vision of a new East Potomac luxury golf club—yet another money-making scheme of his. Sister Dana sez, “Hey golfer Trump, you are not playing a hole in one; you are just a plain a hole!”
Congratulations to The BEARRISON STREET FAIR 2026, produced by us Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and Bears of San Francisco that took place on October 17, noon to 6 pm in SF’s SoMa district, around 11th Street and Harrison, in the Leather and LGBTQ Cultural District. Sister Dana sez, “I’m proud to be a skinny bear and growl along with all the bears, ‘Grrrrrrr’!”
