The tide has to turn, because too many people are having their lives destroyed by, as Housing Rights Committee member Tommi Avicolli Mecca aptly puts it, a greedy and ruthless “real estate feeding frenzy that can only be described as out of control.” Even if you have not been Ellis Acted, you likely are connected to someone who has been evicted or who is under current threat of eviction.
