Community members, civic advocates, and philanthropic supporters gathered at the Fairmont San Francisco on September 26, 2026, for the San Francisco AIDS Foundation’s annual Tribute gala. Co-chaired by community leaders Jupiter Peraza and Brian Lucero Contreras, the evening brought attendees together to champion health justice and support critical programs for those living with and impacted by HIV.

The foundation’s CEO, Dr. Tyler TerMeer, welcomed the crowd, delivering an inspiring message on the power of community resilience, connection, and the collective push to end the epidemic. Members of the San Francisco Bay Times team were among the guests.

Throughout the evening, speakers and guests reflected on major milestones in local advocacy while rallying behind the foundation’s life-saving services, including free sexual health care, harm reduction, and housing support. Highlights of the event featured compelling testimonies from frontline organizers, a lively auction, and a unified call to action to safeguard public health funding. The gathering raised vital funds to ensure that the San Francisco AIDS Foundation can continue empowering vulnerable San Franciscans and sustaining harm-reduction and care services across the Bay Area. https://www.sfaf.org/
